Words may encapsulate experiences and can offer an poetic beauty of their own.
Each day I note a few words about something important that's happened to me that day; something I learn or an inspiring experience.
I've collected a series of show programs offering shots of cast members in glamorous and dramatic poses. I select one that fits the words for the day then use drawing techniques from the trick is to keep breathing to alter, adorn and obliterate the original until it becomes something else. The forms that flow from my pens have organic tendencies; nature encroaching on the man-made.
I'm not entirely certain where these drawings are going but I do know that some or all of them will infest and take over the exhibition space at the Pie Factory, Margate in JELLY#3 in June 2019.
